Universal Professional Tulip Lens Hood is primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light (flare) from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Screw-mount lens hoods, such as this 49mm, are designed to screw right into your lens or filter. Rear locking ring allows the user to rotate the hood in 360°direction. This Lens Hood will fit the following Sony lenses Sony E-Mount SEL 1855 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens for Alpha NEX Cameras Sony SEL55210 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 Lens Sony SEL24F18Z 24mm f/1.8 E-Mount Carl Zeiss Sonnar Lens Sony 16mm f/2.8 Wide-Angle Alpha E-Mount Lens Sony Sonnar T* FE 55mm f/1.8 ZA Lens Sony 35mm f/1.8 OSS Alpha E-mount Prime Lens Sony 20mm f/2.8 Wide-Angle Prime Lens Sony 35mm f/1.8 OSS Alpha E-mount Prime Lens Sony 50mm f/1.8 DT AF Lens Sony 50mm f/1.8 DT Alpha A-Mount Standard Prime Lens Sony 30mm f/2.8 DT AF Macro Lens Sony 30mm f/3.5 Macro Lens for Alpha NEX
