- For every type of spill, spot clean your rug with a cotton cloth or paper towel. Use a blotting motion, work from the edges to the center of the spill. Use a solution of dish soap and cold water to lift deeper residue. For larger spills or more stubborn stains, place the rug in the washer on a delicate setting and hang to dry. Your rug should be the only item in the drum and arranged evenly. Do not use detergent. Use of a rug pad is recommended to prevent slippage and movement.

Wash and then hang the rug on a clothesline or over the back of a chair to dry. Keep rug away from direct sunlight to avoid natural bleaching. For large rugs or those that easily stretch, place it on a flat surface to dry, flipping it every few hours for a quick and even dry that prevents growth of mold and mildew. A rug pad is highly recommended to extend the life of your rug. |
