Rep-Cal Calcium Without Vitamin D3, 3.3oz (Green)

Calcium deficiency is a major dietary problem in captive reptiles and amphibians. Maintaining a proper calcium:phosphorous (Ca:P) ratio of 1.5:1 in the diet is believed to be just as important nutritionally as an adequate calcium intake. So the problem in most cases is actually an improper Ca:P ratio, not too little calcium.

Rep-Cal Calcium Without Vitamin D3 contains only 100% natural phosphorous-free calcium carbonate derived from oyster shells for its calcium source.

Because this supplement does not contain vitamin D3, it is suitable for use with reptiles and amphibians that have appropriate UVB lighting in their enclosure. Do not use this product with reptiles that do not have UVB lighting!

Instructions for Use:

Rep-Cal works best when used with their vitamin supplement Herptivite. Use a 50/50 mixture of both for dusting on insects or salads.

To dust on insects, place the insects and a small amount of calcium powder in a plastic bag. Shake slowly until all insects are lightly covered " they should not be covered in a thick layer of powder. Then feed.

To add to vegetables and/or fruit, add approximately 1/2 to 1 tablespoon per pound of food.

This product contains no added starch, sugar, soy, preservatives, artificial coloring, flavoring, or fragrance. Do not use if the tamper-proof seal is broken or missing. Consult your veterinarian for any special nutritional problems or advice.
